N3twork has announced it is partnering up with Sanrio for a new crossover with its Hello Kitty Kaiju collection. The event is expected to begin on 6th May and will run until the 12th.

This will be the first Sanrio-themed event occurring in Funko Pop Blitz, of which there are more planned for later this year. During these dates, you can log into the game and begin collecting the new characters that will be available during the event.

These characters consist of Hello Kitty Kaiju that feature a mix of cute characters and frightening monsters. They include Hello Kitty (Sky), Hello Kitty (Mecha), Hello Kitty (Sea), Hello Kitty (Land) and Hello Kitty (Space).

During the event, Hello Kitty’s iconic red bow appears on the board in every game. You must drop it to the bottom of the board by matching the Pops and collecting the characters from it, allowing you to collect the special event exclusive Hello Kitty (Space).

Funko Pop! Blitz is a match-3 game featuring iconic characters from multiple franchises. In the past the game has featured collaborations with Parks and Recreation, The Office, Shrek, The Breakfast Club, How to Train Your Dragon, and Battlestar Galactica.

The Hello Kitty Kaiju event runs from 6th May until 12th May. More Sanrio-themed events will be coming to Funko Pop! Blitz later this year so keep an eye out for them if you're a fan of that franchise. You can download Funko Pop! Blitz from the iOS App Store and the Google Play for Android store. It is a free to play game with adverts and in-app purchases.
