Vectronom, the rhythm-based puzzler platformer that's been developed by Lupodium and published by Arte Experience, has received a sizeable update. The game initially launched in October of last year for both iOS and Android but now a change to the game's payment model has arrived in the most recent update, for Apple devices at least.

If you're an iOS user you'll now be able to play the first nine levels of the game for free as Vectronom moves to a free-to-try model on Apple devices. This means that players will be able t experience the first third of the game before dropping $1.99 on the full version. Meanwhile, over on Google Play it still costs $3.99, at the time of writing.

Elsewhere the game has also received a further 21 languages options on top of those that are already available. This includes:

  • Greek
  • Danish
  • Norwegian
  • Swedish
  • polish
  • Finnish
  • Korean
  • Japanese
  • Chinese (simplified and traditional)
  • Thai
  • Turkish
  • Czech
  • Hungarian
  • Romanian
  • Bulgarian
  • Bosnian
  • Hebrew
  • Arabic

Beyond that, the PC version of Vectronom has recently received even more content than its mobile counterpart. This includes 10 new songs with three variants and additional levels. Most interestingly there's also a level editor to allow users to make their own rhythm-led creations.

Unfortunately, this update doesn't look to be making its way to iOS and Android anytime soon. However, it will be heading to the Nintendo Switch version of the game later this year, if you're still hoping for some level editing fun on the go.

Vectronom is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It's a premium title on Google Play that costs $3.99. Meanwhile, it's now free-to-play on the App Store with a single in-app purchase that unlocks the full game for $1.99.
