Acclaimed food-themed puzzler Inbento goes on sale just in time for a major content update
One of 2019's best games gets a major content update
Afterburn's gorgeous, inventive inbento was one of the real standout puzzlers of 2019. It sees you preparing cute lunch boxes, inspired by bento cuisine, while enjoying a sweet tale about parenthood.
Much like the team's previous title, Golf Peaks, it starts simply before layering its gameplay with neat ideas and brain-teasing challenges. Solving its many hand-crafted recipes is a real treat for fans of the genre, and it's all so incredibly polished, boasting a minimalist art style and elegant controls.
Inbento's free 2.0 update adds two new worlds to work your way through, bringing the total number of levels to over 120. More vignettes, music, achievements, and mechanics have also arrived to keep the experience fresh.
You'll now be able to repaint groups of blocks, adding an extra level of challenge and depth to the already excellent puzzling. A quick word of warning, though: Afterburn reckons some of the new puzzles are among the hardest they've ever designed.
To sweeten the deal even more, inbento will be discounted 33% from today until February 12th – same goes for Golf Peaks. You've really no excuse not to give these a go if you love a good puzzle game, are a fan of cats, or want to support one of the best indie developers working on mobile today.
