Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode I and Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode II are now available to download on that Android-powered Ouya thingy.

At review, Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode I nabbed a slightly shiny Bronze Award. We said it has "as many fun moments as mediocre ones", but noted that - in spite of this - it's still a pretty "good start to the revival of the series”.

Disappointingly, Episode II only managed a score of 5/10 when we reviewed it back in May of last year.

If you're a big fan of Sega's infamous Blue Blur, we have some more good news for you.

You see the excellent Sonic CD, which bagged high praise and a glittering Gold Award at review, is making its way to the brand-new home console soon.

Like all Ouya titles, Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode I and Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode II are available to download for free.

You can play the first level (Splash Hill Zone) of the former and the first two levels (A New Frontier and Snow Blind Wonderland) of the latter without paying a penny.

It'll cost you $6.99 to unlock each title in full, mind.
