3DS

E3 is once again upon us, which means games companies and manufacturers will be lining up to show off their new wares to gamers across the world.

It's likely Nintendo will spend most of its E3 press conference talking about the Wii U home console, but we're also expecting a glimpse of what to expect from the 3DS in the future, including more details about New Super Mario Bros. 2 among other key first-party titles.

Check back here at 5pm in Blighty or 9am if you're on the west coast of America for our liveblog coverage of the event.

10:11 - They think it's all over.... Oh, it is. Be sure to tune in tomorrow for our 3DS liveblog.

10:08 - Nintendo Land will launch alongside the Wii U this holiday season.

10:01 - Each attraction houses single-player and multiplayer mini-games - some of which take full advantage of both the Wii U GamePad and four Wii Remotes.

09:58 - Nintendo Land. Yes, you guessed it, a Nintendo-themed theme park title that features 12 different attractions based on popular Ninty games, such as Zelda.

09:55 - Ubisoft is showing off ZombiU, Assassin's Creed 3, Rayman Legends, Sports Connection, and Avengers: Battle for Earth. The Wii U could turn out to be a decent console.

09:51 - Anyway, games. The Wii U GamePad will allow you to manipulate Just Dance 4 and change choreography in real-time. These dancers are quite good. Y'know, in case you were wondering.

09:50 - Ubisoft's CEO is now chatting with Reggie. It's all a bit awkward, to be frank.

09:47 - Back to the Wii U, then. We're now looking at Lego City Undercover, which appears to poke fun at several big movie franchises, such as The Matrix.

09:45 - We're being reminded that we should tune in tomorrow to see Kingdom Hearts 3D and a whole bunch of other 3DS titles in action

09:43 - Plus, Paper Mario Sticker Star will be arriving on the 3DS this holiday season. Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon will feature multiple mansions to explore, mission-based levels to complete, and all new ghosts to hover up. Mario's brother will also see the light of day "this holiday season".

09:41 - New Super Mario Bros 2 will be available in the US on August 19th. Unfortunately, there's no UK release date just yet.

09:39 - They lied to us. Prepare for some 3DS news.

09:34 - Wii Fit U. This next-gen fitness title will utilise both the Wii's Balance Board and the Wii U's GamePad. You'll even be able to upload data from the exercise you complete away from your machine.

09:33 - Ninty is pulling out the big guns. Darksiders II, Mass Effect 3, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Trine 2: Director's Cut, and Aliens Colonial Marines are all making their way to the Wii U. Not bad at all.

09:29 - Scribblenauts Unlimited is making its way to Ninty's forthcoming console, complete with HD graphics and an all-new multiplayer mode.

09:23 - Third-party titles now. First up, Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition. This special Wii U version of the game uses the touchscreen on the console's GamePad, as well as its motion sensor, to carefully guide Batarangs and more.

09:21 - New Super Mario Brothers U, which has just been announced, will also utilise this feature.

09:20 - This feature will eventually be accessible from the 3DS, smartphones, and most other web-enabled devices. it's called MiiVerse, by the way.

09:18 - When you turn the console on, you'll be greeted by the Mii characters of your friends, as well as the games and applications they enjoy playing. Using this feature, you'll be able to send SwapNote-esque messages and screenshots from your games.

09:16 - Fear not: the Wii U will support two separate Wii U GamePads. These pads feature a touchscreen, stereo speakers, a headphone jack, a rumble feature, a camera, and much more.

09:13 - The Wii U will arrive packing Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, and Amazon Video. We won't be seeing those today, though, as this presentation is all about games.

09:11 - Reggie Fils-Aime has taken to the stage. We'll apparently see 23 Wii U games before today's end.

09:07 - Pikmin 3 will feature an all-new type of Pikmin: the Rock Pikmin. You can use these little blighters to target specific items and break hard objects.

09:06 - Ninty has just announced Pikmin 3. It looks pretty nice, to be fair.

09:03 - And we're off. This presentation will apparently be all Wii U, with the 3DS to follow tomorrow. Thanks for that Nintendo, thanks.
