AdMob now used by more than 50,000 publishers
Hundreds earning $100,000 plus every month
In the spirit of self advertising, it's fitting Google is so willing to shout from the rooftops whenever positive AdMob stats come to light.
The latest batch – detailed in a blog post where Google repeats its earlier claim that the AdMob network serves 2 billion ad requests every day – reveals that more than 50,000 publishers are now on board, utilising the network within their apps for their mobile ads.
Google claims hundreds of them are now pulling in more than $100,000 a month from AdMob ads, Angry Birds the most notable example. Indeed, we'd expect Rovio to be making much more than that.
Ad happyNaturally, Google is keen to point out that AdMob is garnering notable support from advertisers, too.
Rival iAd has been able to call upon huge names since it launched on iOS, but Google one of its own notable backers – Volvo – was able to foster much success promoting the latest S60 on the network.
"Volvo included a great video interstitial and an engaging, easy to navigate mobile website, and was able to accomplish their marketing goals as a result," AbMob's mobile director Jason Spero.
"Volvo's cross-platform campaign saw CTRs of 3.91 percent, and after the campaign, users expressed a 240 percent increase in brand favourability, 88 percent increase in purchase intent, and a 78 percent increase in recommendation intent."
