Claiming that 'inclusiveness' is at the heart of its business, Google has refreshed its AdMob set up to add support for Windows Phone 7 to its roster.

The firm has launched a new beta SDK for Microsoft's platform, claiming developers who utilise AdMob on WP7 will be able to integrate ads into their titles in much the same manner as they already do on iOS, Android and webOS.

Mid-life reset

"The SDK supports text and banner ads with a variety of post click actions including opening a webpage and linking directly to the app marketplace," director of mobile ads engineering Mark Schaaf said on the Google Mobile Ads Blog.

"We have also taken steps to customise the ad experience for the look and feel of the Windows Phone 7 platform and make it easy for users to return to their application after engaging with the ad."

But Google isn't just concerned with expanding its base across new formats. AdMob's existing SDKs for iOS and Android have also been updated to allow advertisers to deliver ads powered by HTML5.

"The new SDKs include enhanced HTML5 support for ad units that enable advertisers to create more engaging, richer ads and in turn, an improved user experience," he concluded, adding that AdMob now supports full screen interstitial formats for use on iPad and Android tablets.
