The Sims 3 Ambitions iPhone hits the New Zealand App Store

EA’s latest portable Sims experience, The Sims 3 Ambitions, has hit the App Store in New Zealand. Which means, thanks to the unique curvature of planet Earth, that UK-based non-kiwi gamers will be able to download the game on iPhone and iPod touch from midnight tonight.

Ambitions is all about fulfilling dreams, turning favourite hobbies into brilliant jobs, and having loads of babies. You can also use the extensive creation tools to build a dream house or construct a perfect workplace like a bistro, preschool, or nightclub.

What job will you choose for your Sim? You’ve got careers like firefighter, rock star, artist, and chef to choose from. Video game journalist is mysteriously absent. You can also have babies and take them to the park, play hide-and-seek or just give them a little cuddle.

Made a sweet Sim in The Sims 3 or The Sims 3 World Adventures on iPhone or iPod touch? Import them over so that they can pursue their dream career, or have loads of babies, too.

EA says this is the most complete version The Sims on a portable system yet. We’ll have to see if for ourselves when it launches at midnight for £2.99 / $4.99 / €3.99.
