Metal Gear Solid Touch has been updated to support play on iPad, which will launch on Saturday, April 3 in the US.
The stationary shooting game hasn't been infused with any new content, just enhanced to take advantage of the larger iPad display.
Konami succinctly lays out the new features on the game's App Store listing: "Optimised for iPad."
The 12 original missions plus another 8 added in an update are included in the download, if you're purchasing it for the first time. If you already own the game, the update is free.
I had a difficult time recommending the iPhone release due to the lacklustre gameplay. While an accurate judgment requires a hands-on play, the lack of new content or any change to gameplay aside from the higher resolution don't bode well for the iPad version.Metal Gear Solid Touch is available now for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad for £2.99/$5.99.
