Developer Olli Hinkka has already put together Quake I and II ports for 3rd edition S60 Symbian-equipped phones (Nokia N95 8GB, N82 and E90), and now he's released the third game in the series, Quake III Arena.

Most impressively of all, he's added Bluetooth keyboard and mouse support, which has always been the real snagging point of mobile Quake conversions due to the game's inherent reliance on them as controllers. On top of this impressive achievement you're also able to run a game server from the mobile – allowing for full multiplayer support.

Unfortunately it's only compatible with the handsets mentioned above, as they're the S60s with enough RAM to push it.

Still, Quake III Arena looks pixel-perfect and is great news for the huge number of pocket gamers who do carry those phones. Click here to be transported to the developer's site to download the game and read up on how to install, run and play it.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
