We've been a bit excited about the iPhone adaptation of the hit DS, PSP and mobile match-three puzzler, Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords, for quite some time now, so we're doubly jittery now that Kotaku has announced it's currently going through approval.

Set to feature whole new storylines, characters, quests and iPhone-tweaked gameplay, Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords should be with us by December at the latest.

The mobile and DS versions both bagged themselves Silver Awards, so it'll be interesting to see how well TransGaming's Apple iteration fairs in comparison. Truth be told, we're expecting very high standards, so save your pocket (gamer) money this week – you might need it very shortly.
