We're all aware that a fair number of mobile games are 'inspired' by console and PC parents, but now it looks as though the process might start to be reversing, or at least evening up.

Rumours of console adaptations for the likes of Real Arcade's Playman Sports series and gameloft's Real Sports titles have been flying around for sometime now, and of course the latter has already ported Asphalt Urban GT 2 from phones to handhelds.

Now Eidos has added its momentum by announcing that it has versions of mobile and casual PC game Diner Dash in development for PSP, Nintendo DS and GameBoy Advance.

As with the mobile version (pictured above, and last reported on here), the handheld console game will see you take the role of restaurant owner Flo, and tasks you with looking after everything from seating customers and taking orders to delivering food and then clearing tables.

Exactly how the existing features will be developed and what new elements will be added will doubtless become clearer as we approach the 2007 release date.

For now though, why not get your order in early by clicking 'Track It!' above to receive all the juicy updates on every version, including our impending mobile review.
