The oddball Super Bros are back
Mario and Luigi prepare for some DS platforming
Nintendo's not renowned for its openness and it certainly seems to be holding back plenty of details, despite its announcement of a new Super Mario Bros. game for DS. The first 2D Mario platformer since Super Mario World, which was released way back in the 1990s, the game will be a mixture of 3D graphics combined with the precision of 2D backgrounds. The only other details released gave away that the game will see Mario and friends performing on land, underwater and in the air (you don't say?!). There will also be some new enemies and some old familiar favourites to battle, and you'll be able to play wirelessly with a friend in a co-operative mode with one of you taking the role of Mario and the other playing his less-exciting brother Luigi. And for the moment, that's all we know.
