Angry Birds Heikki racing tie-in misses release date without explanation
Not a lap time to be proud of
Originally scheduled for a June 18th launch, Angry Birds Heikki has had its release date pushed back a week by its developer.
While Rovio did not provide a reason for the missed launch, the official website for Angry Birds Heikki now confirms '25.6' as the new release date.
Coincidentally - or perhaps not – T3 points out that June 25th is the day after the European Grand Prix in which Heikki Kovalainen is participating with sponsorship from Rovio.
One fast fowl
Interestingly, Rovio has not disclosed any additional details about Angry Birds Heikki since it first announced the title at the end of May.
The official teaser site for the game states 'Where's Heikki's F1 racing helmet gone?! The Angry Birds have a hunch!' Kovalainen switched to an Angry Birds-themed helmet just before the beginning of the 2012 F1 season.
We expect Angry Birds Heikki to launch as a browser-based title, and as such it will likely not make its way to Android or iOS devices.
