Hello friends, I hope you're ready for another brilliant list of the very best new games out this week. From Alphaputt and Teslagrad to Cat Lady: The Card Game and see/saw, there's a huge amount of choice this time around and it's harder than ever to pick what we want to play first.

Lucky for me, this isn't a segment telling you which games to play and in which order – that's for you to decide on. But it's a good mix of genres and prices, with some cracking free to play games on the cards too. Let's take a look at what we've got, eh?

1
Alphaputt

Playing golf is always a bit of fun, but what about a golf course shaped around the alphabet? We know the alphabet can apply to many mediums – spaghetti, special songs, potato waffles, and more – but it's looking very fine indeed right here. As well as putting around 26 gorgeous courses, there are a few different game modes to get into too and the chance to personalise your own.

2
Cat Lady: The Card Game

I know what you're thinking: "Emily, I didn't know they made a game about you!" Well, they didn't. Nomad Games made a card game for all the cat ladies out there and it's got a lot going for it. Draw cards, collect toys, costumes, cat nip, and more, and make sure you feed your furry friends. Otherwise your score will suffer as well as your metaphorical armchairs.

Oh, and you need to avoid all of the monsters lying in wait to feast on your entrails.

6
Pangolin's Puzzle

Follow a curious little pangolin on an epic adventure as she takes off with little more that her sharp, problem-solving imagination. Become the ultimate hero by dodging poachers and enjoy a beautiful story as your work through a good variety of different puzzles. Better still, Hero Factor is donating 50% of IAPs to charities like REST Namibia who're working to save pangolins in real life.

7
Persephone

Though Persephone's concept may be a touch grim-sounding, the whole point of the game is that death is not the end. You goal is to die, sure, but by doing so you find the solution to each level's puzzle. With 60 on offer, five environments, striking visuals, and a gorgeous soundtrack, it'll be interesting to see how this game handles its subject matter.

see/saw

Fans of Philipp Stollenmayer, you'll be thrilled to know that there's another wonderfully weird title out now on iOS. In this speed runner, you've got 150 levels to get through and plenty of opportunity to get mashed, sliced, cut, impaled, and blown apart. Don't worry, the whole point of the game is to collect coins and kick the bucket to move on.

Super Cats

As of today, Supercats is finally out in the world, so you don't have to wait another moment before jumping in and playing through this real-time competitive mobile game with anthropomorphic cats. Each round only plays out at three minutes, meaning it's pretty perfect for lunch breaks, bus trips, or even playing between adverts for your favourite program.

11
Teslagrad

Teslagrad is a neat platform puzzler set in a steampunk version of old Europe where you play as a young boy. Somehow, you end up right in the middle of an ancient conspiracy and, armed with Teslamancer technology which helps you control electromagnetic powers, you'll solve each challenge. Don't forget to enjoy the game's beautiful, hand-drawn graphics as well though.

Yo! Let's Stretch

You know how sometimes a really good stretch is the best feeling ever? Well, in this game you're doing nothing but stretching up and up and up while you hop from platform to platform. It may sound simple enough, but once you get into it you'll realise that this type of wacky gameplay is a little bit trickier to get your head around, especially with delicious points on the chopping block. A risky move might mean a better reward, but what's the cost if you fail?
