One of our jobs here at Pocket Gamer Towers is to sieve through the hundreds of apps that hit the App Store and Google Play every single day and unearth the gems.

Lately, though, we've been giving you, our readers, the chance to have YOUR say, too. Basically, we've been giving you the opportunity to tell us your favourite game from a shortlist of the week's best releases.

This week's votes have been counted (and recounted), and we have a winner: A Wonderland Story.

Lewis Carroll's infamous white rabbit has returned to Wonderland for a meeting with the White Queen. Unfortunately, Alice, who loves the little furry bugger to death, is standing between him and his appointment with royalty.

Your job is to ensure the rabbit gets there on time, and, more importantly, in one piece. You do this by sliding tiled sections of Wonderland up and down to create safe pathways, and steer the bunny away from enemies.

Ever wondered?

A Wonderland Story becomes progressively more difficult as you play. Tiles begin to take on different shapes, and you'll encounter an increased number of hazards.

Levels are long, but they're littered with checkpoints. Things never get too out of hand, then.

As you complete stages, you'll unlock them inside Endless mode (a procedurally generated mode that pits you against other players on Game Center-powered leaderboards).

You can grab A Wonderland Story for your iPhone for 69p / 99c [buy], or for your iPad for £1.99 / $2.99 [buy].
