IOS RPG Zenonia slashed to 59p 'before Zenonia 3 arrives!'

Though the name probably doesn't mean that much to the mainstream gamers who've only recently started to take notice of Apple's gaming hardware, Zenonia is a well-respected RPG series among long-time mobile gamers, and the forthcoming Zenonia 3 is one of the most anticipated iOS games of the year so far.

Presumably in a bid to get the name into the charts before Zenonia 3 arrives, developer Gamevil has put Zenonia on sale, down from £1.79 to 59p. Zenonia 2 – which we didn't like as much as we like the first – is still £1.79.

Zenonia is a classic 16-bit-esque RPG that originally appeared on Java phones. The iPhone port is a tad lazy, with controls tied to the virtual D-pad that should really make use of the touchscreen, but it's a substantial and charming offering nonetheless.

The game will return to its usual price when Zenonia 3 appears, some time before end of April.
