Yu Yu Hakusho: Slugfest launches for some 90s anime nostalgia across an officially licensed RPG
  • Iconic scenes from the anime brought to life by OG voice cast
  • Summon your favourite characters and engage in some PvP too
  • Out now on iOS and Android

Yu Yu Hakusho: Slugfest is out now, and to that, I say, "It's about time." I honestly can't believe it's taken this long for us to have an officially licensed RPG on what I think is one of the most memorable anime series of all time, but it's here now, and life is good.

In Yu Yu Hakusho: Slugfest, you can look forward to reliving all the iconic moments from the show with the original Japanese voice cast reprising their roles, and it's all done with nostalgic scenes taken straight from the anime. Combat is an idle affair with auto-battles to keep the grind at bay, and, of course, you'll be able to pull your favourite characters from the gacha because who wouldn't want to have Kurama in their lineup?

Now, apart from the story mode, you can also use your hard-pulled characters to duke it out with the strongest opponents in the PVP/GVG mode - it's not called "The Dark Tournament" for nothing, after all.

Plus, the iconic heroes and villains from the OG show are brought to life in 3D this time around, so suffice it to say you'll likely find something fresh whether you're a fan or a non-fan.

In the meantime, if you're eager to join in on all the fun, you can do so by checking out Yu Yu Hakusho: Slugfest on Google Play and on the App Store. It's free-to-play with in-app purchases. If you pre-registered, you should be getting your rewards for signing up too.
