Yu-Gi-Oh! Cross Duel's latest update adds the iconic Joey Wheeler and Mai Valentine
Konami has just announced a brand new update for its popular mobile card battler Yi-Gi-Oh! Cross Duel, introducing two more legendary duelists. They are Joey Wheeler and Mai Valentine. They join Cross Duel as Tag Duel partners whose power of friendship knows no bounds.
To get your hands on Joey Wheeler and Mai Valentine in Yi-Gi-Oh! Cross Duel, players must participate in Tag Duel’s newest event. It is going to be a PvP battle featuring 2v2 Duels, where players will join forces with other Yi-Gi-Oh! heroes.
The road to unlock these two new characters is divided into two halves and is called Joey’s Road to a True Duelist. During this event, players will work with Joey and play matches in order to unlock rewards like Game Mats, Card Sleeves and Profile Icons featuring Joey and Mai. There are three weeks to wrap up all the quests as the deadline is October 23rd.
In addition to this, Cross Duel is receiving a tonne of new cards as well. They will all be available via card draws. Players can expect to find Joey Wheeler’s trademark Ultra-Rare monster, the breathtaking Red-Eyes Black Dragon, as well as some other awesome Yu-Gi-Oh! cards like Baby Dragon, Time Wizard and Gearfried the Iron Knight. The new cards will make your deck even more powerful.
