Renegade Kid's alien shooting metroidvania Xeodrifter gets its first gameplay trailer

Renegade Kid got us quite excited a couple of months ago with the announcement of Xeodrifter. Now it has a gameplay trailer and, yep, it looks quite brill.

Imagine Super Metroid filtered through a candy floss machine. It's cute, right? That's what Xeodrifter looks like.

It's a bite-sized action platformer that follows an interstellar drifter as they investigate four planets after their warp core is damaged by a rogue asteroid.

It's a classic sci-fi story: you have to find the sources of energy on these four planets that may be able to repair your spaceship.

As expected, the trip turns dangerous rather quickly as the wildlife on these planets is acrobatic and hungry. Cue a game of search, shoot, and survival.

Xeodrifter will be coming to the 3DS eShop in the near future.
