They say if you chop a worm in half you end up with two worms. Wonder what’s happens if you blow one up with a rocket launcher? Well we’ll find out soon enough as cult team-based comedy shooter Worms is being prepared for its next two releases on DS and PSP. It's one of the longest running games series ever and has sold over nine million copies in the process.

Northern English developer Team 17 has been revving the design with wi-fi multiplayer highlighted as one major area. THQ taking the publishing role although it hasn’t yet announced when the games will be released.

“We’ve been developing incredibly addictive new versions of our classic game for existing fans of the series and newcomers to the world of Worms,” said Team 17 boss and Worms creator Martyn Brown. “It’s time to dust off the Holy Hand Grenade and unleash some more exploding sheep!”
