3 launches multiplayer version of World Poker Tour 2

But what about the other operators?

3 launches multiplayer version of World Poker Tour 2

Hands-On Mobile's new World Poker Tour: Texas Hold'Em 2 is out this month across all the UK operators, but 3 has become the first one to shout about launching the full multiplayer version.

Hands-On says it's the first play-for-fun multiplayer poker game that has been available for phones in Europe, enabling six-player tables over the network.

Us Europeans are actually quite late to the multiplayer poker party, mind. In the US, Hands-On's original World Poker Tour: Texas Hold'Em game was a roaring success, attracting 10,000 unique players a day, and 200,000 multiplayer hands every week. Over 3.6 million people have downloaded the game.

However, here in the UK, 3 is initially the only operator to launch the multiplayer version of the new game, which will cost £1.99 a month to play. Other operators – T-Mobile for instance – have only launched the single-player version so far.

The more operators who launch the multiplayer version, the more Brits there'll be to play against, so fingers crossed Hands-On strikes new deals for it soon. In the meantime, 3's version will let you play against all those Americans and other gamers around the world.
