Proving the multimedia capabilities of the UMD format, Sony is releasing a hybrid film-game. The film bit is futuristic sci-fi plane thriller Stealth, while appropriately the game-bit is futuristic sci-fi racer Wipeout Pure.

Tagged Wipeout Pure: Stealth Edition, the game demo will come with three tracks - including an exclusive Stealth track - three vehicles - including an exclusive Stealth plane - and three game modes - single race, time trail and the Zone, where you have to race for as long as possible before your collisions with the side of track completely deplete your shield and you explode in the ball of fire. There’s also a multiplayer option for up to four players to share the game.

The Stealth UMD will be released in the US on November 15, priced $40. Details have yet to be provided about a UK release.
