Like a great sporting champion, The Sims 3 continues to sit pretty at the top of a competitive field, batting away challengers with nary a wobble. Yes, EA’s masterpiece of casual life simulation is still in the number one slot this week, keeping the evergreen Tetris at bay.

Meanwhile another heavyweight has slipped down the pecking order somewhat. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has slipped out of the top ten, although it’s still selling well in 18th position. As well it might, with its magical mix of adventuring and mini-games.
