UFC 2009 Undisputed going mobile

THQ Wireless has revealed plans to release UFC 2009 Undisputed for mobile phones. Don't get too excited though: it's not out till next spring.

Anyway, it'll be based on the infamous Ultimate Fighting Championship franchise, so expect real fighters to be appearing (although it's presumably too early to say who, in case they retire hurt between now and then).

The game will be out alongside the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, and so far THQ has only released details of those. So, console gamers get 80 fighters across five weight classes, photorealistic effects, martial arts disciplines including Muay Thai, Kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (we think it involves shaving).

They're also able to create their own fighters for a deep career mode, and download new content.

How much of this will make it into the mobile version? Who knows. But we'll bring you more details as soon as we find out.
