Turbo Camels: Circus Extreme scoops Mobile Choice award

Awards season is well and truly underway – bad news for our collective waistlines, as the combination of free wine and canapes takes its toll.

Following on from last week's video game Baftas (which scandalously overlooked mobile games, bar a win for 24 voted for by broadminded Sun readers), the Mobile Choice awards set the record straight with a dedicated mobile gaming category.

And despite stiff competition from a host of Pocket Gamer favourites, including Paris Hilton's Diamond Quest (Gameloft), Rollercoaster Rush (Digital Chocolate), Slyder (I-play), Stranded (Glu Mobile) and The Sims 2 (EA Mobile), it was ultimately Real Arcade that prevailed with Turbo Camels: Circus Extreme.

Sami Lahtinen, head of Mr.Goodliving Studio, was understandably overjoyed – and no doubt a couple of complimentary champagnes to the good – when he said: "Cameltastic! as our brave Turbo Camels jockey Günther would have put it. This prestigious award provides further encouragement for us to continue our quest to design and develop the perfect mobile game. There's hope for original intellectual property after all!"

You can read more about the award-winning Turbo Camels in our special feature, or just head straight to the mobile accolade that really matters in our Turbo Camels review.
