If you've been eagerly awaiting the upcoming Tribe Nine, with its mix of action RPG gameplay and visuals ripped straight from Danganronpa then you're in luck. Because just ahead of the weekend Tribe Nine is now out for iOS and Android worldwide!
Tribe Nine takes you to the near future of Neo Tokyo where you'll play as a trio of teens seeking to earn their freedom. In this future of violent street gangs, the only law is in the practice of Extreme Baseball to resolve disputes, administrated by the mysterious masked figure known only as Zero.
Tribe Nine offers not just high-octane, action-packed RPG battles, but also a pixellated overworld for you to explore at your leisure. Not only that but the iconic Extreme Baseball (XB) death game makes its debut as a special battle mode. So jump into dynamic, three-person battles, with intelligently adapting teammates to help you out in each fight.
With Rui Komatzusaki (joined by Simadoriru) providing instantly recognisable art, and a familiar neon-soaked world to explore, there's more than a little of Danganronpa in Tribe Nine. That's not a bad thing either as if you're a fan of the mixture of stylish visuals and deadly action, this may be the spiritual successor you've been looking for.
Tribe Nine also expands upon the plotline of the titular anime series; set in Minato City where the anime's protagonists previously ruled. Now a new system of Dominance is in place, with the enigmatic #9 sitting at the top of the pile. And it's play character Yo Kuronaka and his companion's job to fight and resist this oppressive order.
