  • Timelie is out now in early access on Google Play
  • It features a young girl and her cat trying to evade evil robots in a mysterious facility
  • Use time rewinding powers to solve puzzles and avoid a gruesome death

As we head into the weekend those of you who are seeking brain-teasing puzzlers might be lamenting a lack of new releases. That is if you're the kind of genius who's managed to make your way through all our previous recommendations. But if you're on Android there's good news, because Snapbreak's newest release is out now in early access on Google Play with Timelie.

Timelie's core gameplay concept is pretty simple, as you're simply tasked with making your way through an abandoned complex while avoiding robots. The core conceit here is that you need to puzzle out which is the optimal root by using your time-rewinding mechanic to do so.

It's part twee indie and part rough 'n tumble puzzler as you set your furry feline companion as bait to draw away robots. As you might expect from this sort of release it's all about non-verbal story and mystery as you play a young amnesiac girl trying to navigate the strange complex aided only by her aforementioned cat.

A Timelie arrival

If I were a massive cynic I might scoff at the idea of this simple, twee story featuring a young girl and her cat battling their way through evil robots. But at the same time, I'm not so jaded that I'll say it puts me off, and I'm sure there are some of you who'll find this truly fascinating and heartfelt.

Either way, Timelie is being published by Snapbreak and was developed originally by Urnique Studio, and I don't think I can remember Snapbreak ever releasing so a stinker. So for that reason, and its interesting-looking gameplay, Timelie might be worth a look.
