The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War guide to increasing Ring Power

The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War guide to increasing Ring Power

As any new Tactician in The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War will experience at one point or another, Ring Power is what embeds you deep into the Leaderboard and will have a great impact on your Faction’s standing when it comes to the late game.

Below you can find a complete guide to increase your Ring Power in The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War, which is going to offer you every bit of information that will set you on the right path to maximize your potential Ring Power.

Starting off with the best ways to upgrade your Ring and moving on to how to better understand and choose your Ring’s skills depending on the game state, we’ll cover everything.

How to increase your Ring Power in the early game

In the early stages of the game there is not much a player can do other than try to conquer as many 1 and 15 Power Tiles as they possibly can. Without having a stronger lineup (Commander, Units, Equipment) you cannot adventure much further. However, as your Commander will level up, they will be able to command more troops, and thus challenge more powerful Tiles.

So, in the earliest stages of the game the best would be to conquer as many tiles as you can that are next to your base and try to work your way towards the next best tiles, the 15-30 Power ones. By doing this you’ll basically secure a safe passage towards better tiles before anyone else does, and you can quickly advance there the moment your armies get stronger.

Also, it’s very important that you always conquer about the maximum number of tiles available. You can leave 1 or 2 just in case something catches your eye and you want to make sure that you’ll have access to it, otherwise not.

Keep the lower power tiles until you can afford to go for better ones

Always make sure to keep the lower level tiles producing resources for you until you can rescind them and conquer stronger tiles. It’s better to have 10 tiles that produce something (albeit not much) than having 10 unconquered tiles which would grant you absolutely nothing.

You can always remove the tiles you don’t want at any time, since it only takes 30 minutes to do so. Therefore, you have plenty of time to plan ahead and settle on a path of which tiles you’d like to aim for.

Always level up Domination

Domination is the main Ring skill, located dead in the middle. This skill can only be upgraded every 10 Ring levels, and it grants the Tactician 10 additional tiles. It’s a very important node, and you should always allocate it since it’s the fastest way to increase your Ring Power production (more tiles = more production).

Afterwards, you should always try to go for the next skill that will benefit you. There is no need to skill up the Tree in any particular order, so you should always consider what your needs are for the current state of the game.

Keep in mind that you can always reset the skills and start over

The Ring’s skills are meant to help the player at any given time, so if you’re planning to go full offensive and for territory occupation, you should consider upgrading skills that offer movement around the map, Commander EXP, troop power and Stamina enhancements (since you’ll probably need it).

After you’ve acquired what you planned to do and you want to settle down, you can go for skills that boost your resource production or increase the amount of EXP your Commander earns from basic PvE instances (Tips, Mock Battle).
