This new Super Mario Party footage is already getting us excited to yell at friends

There's still a little bit to wait before Super Mario Party lands in October, but today Nintendo Japan posted a new video on its YouTube channel. Together with Yoiko, we got a decent look at how the game will play and a variety of its features.

Whether you're looking forward to Super Mario Party or not, you can't deny that it's always a hilarious party game (unless you're the one losing). Maybe I find it more fun than some since I never got to play Mario Party as a kid, but each to their own.

You and up to three friends will get to take turns, race each other around your chosen board, and see who'll come out on top. It's not just a total re-hash of the old games though, there'll be new modes, new mini-games, and a brand new online mini-game mode.

The video's in Japanese, of course, but there's still plenty of information to take in from the presentation. You could have a go with YouTube's shaky auto-translate subtitles if you're keen though.

Personally, I just hope there's enough new content and the right mixture of tradition gameplay to justify its £50 asking price.
