Coming to both iOS and Android devices in 2023, SumoVolley - as its title suggests - lets you play a quirky game of volleyball with sumo wrestlers across colourful landscapes. To hype up the release of the game for next year, Superswipe Games will be dropping a special story trailer on Friday in a live event on YouTube.

In SumoVolley, players can look forward to engaging in a 2D real-time arcade-style match-up against another player across a 1v1 duel. You'll have to pass the ball along as you play, but once the ball hits the floor, your opponent scores. Similarly, you gain points when you hit the ball on the floor over on your opponent's side.

To make sure that you win the match, you'll have to pay attention to your movements - you can jump and move around, of course, but you can also stand on your net. You can even hop on over to your enemy's court - it may seem ridiculous, but it might just help you score a win when push comes to shove.
