Looking for a board game to play over the weekend? Don't have all that much money to your name? Well Splendor just had a quid cut off its asking price on the App Store. So that's pretty good, right?

The game is all about precious, precious diamonds. Get some mines, get some people who know how to make jewels, make some jewels, then make friends with rich people who want to throw inordinate amounts of money at you in order to purchase said jewels.

It's a lot more interesting than that makes it sound though. There's a good deal of strategy that you're going to have to get to grips with if you want to win. And I imagine you want to win, right?

There's a solo mode, pass and play, and online multiplayer to sink your teeth into as well. Plus a few additional bits and bobs that you can only get from the digital version. Take that people who buy physical games.

When we reviewed Splendor we called it
"a good-looking and smooth playing adaptation of a cracking card game." Our main gripe was that at launch it didn't have online multiplayer. But it does now, so we're pretty chuffed.

If any of this sounds like something you might be inclined to care about, you can click right here to buy the game for £4.99 / $4.99 from the App Store.
