Sound Shapes team details level editor and trophy system
Pre-order bonus also confirmed
Queasy Games once again took to the PlayStation Blog to release some new information about its upcoming music game, Sound Shapes.
At the center of this new information is Sound Shape's level editor, which allows players to incorporate music and art from other albums into their own custom-built stages.
When Sound Shapes launches, it will offer players five different albums consisting of several tracks to play through.
Each album will include art and music from a different pair of musicians (Beck, deadmau5, Pyramid Attack, and others). When a player completes one of these levels, they will unlock its art and music and be able to incorporate these elements in their own stages.
All hail the trophy hunterTo eliminate the frustration (or is it fun?) of arduous trophy hunting, Sound Shapes will do away with the idea of high-concept trophies.
Instead, each album will have a b-side accessible in Death Mode.
In this new mode, players will be confronted with timed, single-screen musical challenges to overcome. Each win on a b-side level will unlock a trophy, making them quite easy to keep track of for those with Platinum ambitions.
As a final announcement, Queasy Games revealed an exclusive PlayStation 3 theme for those who pre-order Sound Shapes.
Queasy’s Sound Shapes will be available in Europe on August 15th and will launch in North America on August 7th.
