SilverTree's Xperia Play-optimised shooter Sleepy Jack due out this weekend

Sleepy Jack, an anticipated head-on shooter for Android and Xperia Play, is due for release this weekend, developer SilverTree Media has revealed to Pocket Gamer.

“We’re going to get a little core feedback back from Sony today,” said CEO Nate Smith. “And then if there’s any little issues we’re going to fix them and then get it uploaded for this weekend. That’s the plan.” The game follows Jack, a child dreaming about flying through a cylindrical space while fending off the nasty dream versions of his toys. It’s the second big release for SilverTree Media after Cordy, the well-received platformer released on Android and iOS.

“We put Cordy out at the beginning of the year and that’s been great. And following it up with Sleepy Jack - we’re really excited about it,” Nate said. Sleepy Jack was among Pocket Gamer's top ten games of E3 2011.
