Grab your helmet and charge your hoverbike, folks: Alistair Aitcheson (the indie dev behind Greedy Bankers) has released Slamjet Stadium on the New Zealand App Store.

As always, this means you'll be able to download it in the UK and US from around midnight this evening.

In case you haven't seen any of our previous coverage of Slamjet Stadium, it's a new sports title for the iPad in which you take part in a futuristic footy-esque game called Slamjet.

Like in soccer, your aim in Slamjet is to score goals past your opponents. Unlike the sport of football, however, Slamjet has next to no rules.

In fact, you're openly encouraged to push, shove, and even steal players from opposing teams.

Slamjet Stadium features two different game modes: Solo, in which you're pitted against a range of computer-controlled teams; and a multiplayer mode, which pits you against other real-world players on a single iPad.

Regardless of which mode you choose, you'll be competing in stadia that are filled with hazards - like deadly saws and mysterious wormholes - and power-ups.

If all of the above has tickled your pickle, be sure to grab Slamjet Stadium for your iPad from midnight. It'll set you back £1.99 / $2.99.
