Skullduggery! is a game all about using a disembodied skull's brain to twang it around a series of levels. It's gross. It's also quite a lot of fun.

We first saw the game at one of our Big Indie Pitch events, and you can check out what the verbose Rob Hearn thought of it by clicking on this link right here.

The game takes Angry Birds's drag-back-to-fire mechanic, but adds it to a frantic platformer.

So you're firing your head around collecting gold and gems, smashing up enemies, and avoiding crushing, ever-encroaching moving walls of doom.

It's a well polished product, and the simple controls are really effectively implemented.

You need to chain together jumps to reach higher areas, and push your luck to try and nab extra gold before you get squished.

It all connects together to make a really entertaining experience. There are some interesting touches, like pipes that spit you out further down the level, enemies you need to literally head-shot to gain their loot, and spikes that inhibit your progress.

Skullduggery! is set to release next week, and we're certainly impressed with what we've seen so far.

Check out the trailer in the middle of the article, and the screens in the gallery at the top for more of an idea of what the game's about.
