Shadow Guardian and Let’s Golf! 3 coming to Xperia Play October 1st
Accidentally released today and then removed
Third-person action-adventure game Shadow Guardian and golf game Let’s Golf 3 appeared on the Xperia Play’s launcher this week, only to be removed shortly afterwards.
The icons were added to the Play’s games menu by mistake, leading users to Gameloft’s WAP store. The planned release date for these games is actually October 1st, Gameloft has told Pocket Gamer.
Both are titles that have been released previously on iPhone and Android but haven’t yet been optimised for the Xperia Play.
Shadow Guardian puts you in the boots of soldier turned investigative journalist Jason Call as he attempts to stop a group of mercenaries from finding a powerful relic called the Prima Materia. Like Uncharted – its obvious inspiration – the game features cover-based combat and plenty of climbing up walls. Let’s Golf! 3 is a freemium arcade golf game with the series' characteristically cartoony graphics and support for up to four-player multiplayer over wi-fi or Bluetooth.
