ROME: Total War and Barbarian Invasion's latest updates let you increase your unit size, and more
Only on iPad
For some reason it feels like it's been ages since ROME: Total War/Barbarian Invasion came out on the iPad. But, we've got two lots of updates today to keep you busy.
ROME: Total War has been updated to version 1.7.3 while Barbarian Invasion is now at 1.7.2. The update patch notes are as follows:- The option to select a larger unit size to that recommended for their device. Doing so may reduce performance, but players can prioritise unit size if they wish. For example, if the device recommends a unit size of 40 troops per unit, it can be bumped up a notch to 80 troops per unit. This option is found in the iOS Settings app.
- The option to run 3D battles at half-speed, giving players more time to refine their tactics.
- The option to play the game in Russian.
- Optimisation for the new 2017 iPad (5th Generation).
- Further improvements to stability.
It may not be an absolutely huge change, but it gives you a few more options to tailor the game how you like it. Just don't go overboard, no one likes a painfully slow device, especially not in the midst of battle.
Grab ROME: Total War for £9.99/$9.99 or Barbarian Invasion for £4.99/$4.99 on the App Store.
