The Respawnables brings Chinese New Year frolics with new enemies and gear

| Respawnables

The Respawnables loves a good holiday celebration, and Chinese New Year is no different - the game has been given a whole new mode and set of enemies to face off against so everyone can get in on the celebration.

The new enemy, the Nians, are apparently attacking everything in sight to prevent Chinese New Year from happening, so it's up to you to destroy them all before they get their way. Luckily they're apparently scared of the colour red, which you may know is kind of a big thing for China, so this shouldn't be too hard.

In terms of actual gameplay, you'll score points for every Nian you hit based on how much damage you do to it. These fortune points can then be turned in for new gear to make your killing even easier. But be warned - your death results in a new Nian being spawned, so be sure to avoid your untimely demise or you'll be facing an endless swarm of them.

What gear can you get, you ask? Why, you can turn in your points for a new bulldozer jacket to help protect you, as well as a pig-shaped explosive known as the Toxic Heng, which should give you an edge over the advancing horde.

It's certainly an interesting way to see in the Chinese New Year, and it should be worth a few chuckles as you try to grab that shiny new gear.

The Respawnables is available on the App Store and Google Play for the low price of absolutely nothing, so go grab it if you haven't already. Then come back here and check out our game hub, which contains tons of useful tips and tricks to help you out in your deadly journey.
