Capcom: We won't make the Resi Evil 3D save data mistake again

Following on from the save data debacle surrounding Nintendo 3DS release Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, it seems like Capcom has learnt a valuable lesson.

It came to light just before release of the game that it wasn't possible to delete save data, causing many gamers to complain that Capcom was pulling a DRM-angled stunt that stopped people selling the title as pre-owned.

Speaking on the official Capcom site, and as reported by CVG, Capcom vice president Christian Svensson explained that the company won't be making the same mistake twice.

"I think it's fair to say there was never quite the malicious intent that the conspiracy theorists out there would have you believe," he explained.

"I think it's also fair to say that in light of the controversy it's generated, I don't think you're going to see something like this happening again."
