The latest iteration of Gameloft's Real Football franchise is now available to download from the App Store for your iPhone and iPad. Oh, and it's completely free of charge.

Unlike in EA's FIFA 2013, you're only allowed to play as a single team in Real Football 2013. You select this team when you launch the game for the very first time, and then you're stuck with your choice until you delete and re-install the app.

Real Football 2013 is more of a management sim than an arcade footy experience, in truth. You still take to the field on match day, of course, but you'll also spend a fair chunk of time developing your club's facilities, hiring new staff members, dealing with sponsors, and generally reinforcing your favourite team.

After each match, you earn coins based on your performance, which you can use to heal your injured players and complete various other tasks.

If Real Football 2013 sounds right up your alley, we suggest you lace up your boots and grab it from the App Store. Be sure to check out our preview of the game before you do, though.
