Update: Handheld Editor Peter Willington has just stormed into PG Towers waving a shovel and a map of the Andes (he works off-site during the day), and shouted something about this being a spiritual sequel to PS2 title Namco X Capcom. Updated article follows:

Back in March, we told you that Capcom, Namco Bandai, and Sega were collaborating on a mysterious Nintendo 3DS title. Thanks to a new ten-minute-long trailer, we now know more about the forthcoming game.

For starters, the title's called Project X Zone, and it features numerous characters from some of the aforementioned developers' most infamous franchises, such as Mega Man, Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, and Dead Rising.

As you can see from the video, which you can watch below this article, Project X Zone looks to be an extremely colourful and fast-paced tactical RPG (based on the template set by Namco X Capcom on the PS2) that sees you take part in brutal battles with multiple characters at once.

Check it out for yourself. Project X Zone is due to launch in Japan this autumn.
