Oh, would you look at that. More characters announced for the 3DS-bound cross-franchise RPG brawler Project X Zone 2. What a surprise.

I'm saying it like that as the game is full of characters from all sorts of games already: Resident Evil, Tekken, Yakuza, Mega Man X, Devil May Cry, the list goes on.

This time around the new characters are from Nintendo-published games. So, it's sort of a big deal. But don't get too excited - there's no Mario or Peach in here.

As the trailer reveals above, it is in fact Chrom and Lucina from Fire Emblem Awakening, as well as Fiora from Xenoblade Chronicles that have been added to the lineup.

They're as ridiculously over-the-top as you'd expect. Gatling gun combos? Charged red lightning bursting from the chest? Yep, it's all in there.

Project X Zone 2 is, of course, the sequel to the Silver Award-winning Project X Zone.

It comes out in Japan for 3DS this November. The North American and European versions arrive in 2016.
