E3 2008: Prince of Persia: The Fallen King DS screens

We've already given you the low-down on the forthcoming DS game Prince of Persia: The Fallen King, but since of you're probably either too busy or too lazy to click this link and read the original story, I'll tell you now that it's a standalone story, outside the narrative world of the home console versions, and involves going to the desert and fighting a dark substance called The Corruption.

It sounds a bit like a metaphor for American and British foreign policy.

You play as the prince, naturally, and just as naturally you'll be able to execute a range of highly gymnastic moves. When you don't feel like doing that, you'll be able to switch characters and become 'The Magus', a new character with the ability to solve puzzles and do magic tricks.

It's been in the pipeline for a while, but today we've got our hands on a batch of screenshots. Like the home console version, it uses cel-shading, and it looks, well, a bit disappointing if truth be told.

Prove us wrong, Ubisoft.
