HTC One unboxing
It's here and soon we will decide if it's 'the One'
One day before Samsung unveils its new Galaxy smartphone to the world, look what arrived on our doorstep... the HTC One, the Taiwanese manufacturers attempt to get back into the game.
We won't be publishing a full review until next week as we don't rush these things.
Can the battery really last a full day with varied usage? Does the UltraPixel camera perform as well as HTC claims it will? Can we really get on with HTC Sense instead of vanilla Android? Is BlinkFeed really worth the hype? How does HTC Zoe work in the real world?
All of those questions, along with how it performs at playing games, will be answered in due course.
For now, here's the obligatory unboxing photos to let you know what you'll get in the box - or you can read our first impressions.
A break from the norm; no usual rectangular cardbox box here, rather something that looks more like a tin of biscuits
A stack of paperwork and the SIM-release pin that you won't want to lose
Phone, USB cable, USB charger (1 Amp) and earphones.
The phone unwrapped; looking good in all its aluminium unibody glory
The power button that doubles up as an Infrared remote control
