Nintendo has kept to its word and revealed the first information about Pokemon Black and White, the latest iteration of the hugely successfully monster scrapping adventure.

It's not quite the massive info dump we were expecting, but rather six screenshots of the new RPG.

The first thing to notice is the strong urbanisation featured in the screenshots. Outside of one dark cave and a quaint village home, the other images show off giant sky rise towers, cycle paths above traffic-jammed bridges, and a multi-levelled Pokemon supercentre.

Even the battle scene, showing new Pokemon Zorua and Zoroark squaring off, has a bunch of sky tickling towers in the background.

Other neat features include a more dynamic camera and your Pokemon casting shadows on the battlefield.

Pokemon Black and White are tentatively scheduled for an autumn release in Japan. Expect them to reach our shores in early 2011.

If you're running a Pokefever, the only cure is Pocket Gamer's Black and White wishlist.
