If you’re a fan of the Top Gear TV show, then you’re going to love issue nine of the T-Mobile Pocket Gamer magazine.

We’ve got all the details on the Top Gear mobile game, courtesy of Gameloft. Yep, it’s all here: a virtual Jeremy Clarkson berating your driving skills, the chance to go up against the mysterious Stig, a race against an Apache gunship, and even a ‘bendy bus rocket launch’.

Who said driving games have to be serious?

But that’s not all! There’s also news on Lara Croft’s latest adventure, Tomb Raider: Underworld, TV adaptation Spooks: The Mobile Game and the latest Need for Speed, which is quick enough to whip your eyebrows off. Truly, our cup of news runneth over.

In the land of reviews, Sim City Metropolis will you have strategising into the wee hours, Car Jack Streets offers up a delicious plate of steaming Grand Theft Auto-inspired fun, Peggle proves to be the most addictive thing ever (yes, even more so than Cadbury’s Creme Eggs or aniseed twists), Chocolate Shop Frenzy's fondant action is tastier still, and Guitar Hero III: Backstage Pass will transform you into the rock star of your choice.

We’ve also rounded up the four best football games money can buy so that you can recreate the beautiful game on your mobile, and we dust off the Pocket Gamer crystal ball for a peek ahead into what 2009 has in store - not just in terms of the big games coming your way, but also how evolving technology may let your handset offer new ways to play. It’s all very exciting stuff.

Finally, there’s a great competition in which you can win one of four football shirts signed by none other than Cesc Fabregas, along with copies of Real Football 2009 for the Nintendo DS. Phew!

You can pick up a mag in-store or download a digital copy from the Pocket Gamer website, and of course you can get your hands on the pick of the issues games via the T-Mobile web portal now by clicking the links below:
