Pocket Gamer mobile games magazine issue 10
Read all about it!
Mobile gaming is better than ever - just check out the latest issue of the T-Mobile Pocket Gamer magazine if you don't believe us (you can pick it up in store or download a digital version online from www.pocketgamer.co.uk/magazine.asp).
The big news in this edition is that the much-anticipated superhero movie Watchmen is getting its own mobile game spin-off, courtesy of Glu Mobile.
In the game you get to play as two of the titular heroes, The Comedian and Rorschach, as you patrol the steaming jungles of Vietnam and the mean streets of New York.
But that's not all - you can also read all about the brilliant beat-'em-up Super Street Fighter II, the strange wonder of Rolling with Katamari and even - believe it! - Chuck Norris's very own mobile game.
Yep, the '80s action hero is back to kick ass in Bring the Pain, a tongue-in-cheek brawler that sees him going up against Fidel Castro and Kim Jong-il!
Reviews-wise, we cast a critical eye over the amazing Metal Slug Mobile 4, which is a cracking slice of old-school shoot-'em-up action, and the similarly impressive Far Cry 2, Wolfenstein RPG and Prince of Persia Zero.
There's also our cover game CSI: New York, an excellent spin-off from the gritty TV show, which sees you investigating crime scenes and indulging in some forensics fun back in the lab.
Meanwhile, in the land of features we spotlight the burgeoning trend of music-based games by looking at three top rhythm action games - Guitar Hero III: Backstage Pass, Guitar Rock Tour and DJ Mix Tour. Yup, you can fulfil all your rock star dreams by rocking out on your mobile.
And if fancy something a little simpler, we also recommend four 'casual classics' - easy-to-play games that'll have you addicted in no time, such as Tetris Pop and Peggle.
There's also the patented Pocket Gamer directory, which celebrates the very best mobile games in all categories, and a competition where you can win a fancy laptop PC from the kind people at I-play.
You can pick up a copy of the mag in-store or download a digital copy from the Pocket Gamer website, and of course you can get your hands on the best games on the T-Mobile web portal now by clicking the links below:
