E3 2011: Paper Mario 3DS features new battle attacks via touchscreen
Looking anything but flat
Although it wasn't really highlighted in the main Nintendo E3 conference, Paper Mario 3DS is undeniably one to watch out for.
The Paper Mario series is what you get when you place Mario in an RPG scenario, and features a heavy dose of turn-based gameplay, adventuring, and humour.
The latest Paper Mario 3DS trailer (just below) shows off gameplay that looks mightily familiar to what we've come to know and love in the past, though there are a few interesting additions.
It appears as though you'll be able to use the touchscreen during battles to deal damage to enemies, with methods such as drawing around them and cutting them up with scissors.
There's no release date as of yet, but let's hope for a 2011 release. Click the screenshot above to check out how the game looks.
