Say what you like about the iPad, I've not been really happy with Apple's magical device.

By which I mean I should have been born a girl. My iPad wasn't complete until I had accessorised my iPad with a decent case that wasn't a rucksack, a cheap neoprene sleeve or - as much as it tempted me - a wooden box.

No, following my excellent experience with its G1 case, I had to have a hardgraft iPad case.

Hardgraft is an Austria/English outfit, which is based in Austria, and makes beautiful cases for consumer electronics from wool felt and vegetable tanned leather i.e. all natural materials.

It makes MacBook sleeves and phone cases plus bags and wallets, and despite the relative expense (my iPad case was €59 plus p&p), they are lovely, hard wearing and - cod philosophy alert - good at humanising otherwise mass produced machines.

Anyhow, you can check out the shop here.

Otherwise, this is the unwrapping (and you have no idea how much I love the fact they threw in some used stamps for the fun of it)...
